Delete my data
You do not have to close your account to get rid of data. Most of it you can delete yourself, item by item. This page works signed out and without the app, because the moment you most need it is the moment you have neither.
- Location traces already delete themselves after 90 days. You can set that to 7.
- Medical card, emergency contacts, documents and photos delete individually, in the app, at any time.
- No app and no sign-in? Email us and we will do it: within 30 days, usually a few working days.
- If you want everything gone, that is Delete your account.
What you can delete, and where
Settings → Privacy & sharing. Shorten the window to as little as 7 days, or clear the traces you already have.
Delete a day or a whole trip from Ride history. Or switch off "Keep my ride history" and it expires with your traces.
Settings → Medical card → Clear card. It is optional data and deleting it removes it from our servers.
Remove a contact in the app and their details go from our systems. If you are someone's listed contact, email us directly.
Licence, RC, insurance, permits and trip photos delete individually, and the stored file is removed with the record.
Never installed the app and just want off the list? Email us and we will remove the address.
Ask us to delete it for you
Email admin@qafilaa.in with the subject "Delete my data" and tell us what to remove. Send it from the email address on the account where you can. If you cannot, tell us the phone number the account was registered with and we will verify another way before we act. We do not require you to install anything or sign in.
Verified requests are actioned within 30 days, normally within a few working days. You will get written confirmation when it is done.
Email a deletion requestWhat we cannot delete for you
- Content other riders wrote (their notes, their expenses, their photos), even where it mentions you. It is theirs.
- Trips still shared with other riders. We remove your membership and your personal rows; the trip itself stays for them.
- Safety alerts that form part of another rider's safety record. The reference back to your account is cleared, so the entry no longer identifies you.
- Routine backups and server logs, which age out on their own schedule within 30 days.
- Anything we are required to keep for legal, security or accounting reasons.
